Stuart Murray was asked to create a publication to mark the end of Intermedia Gallery's time at their King Street premises in Glasgow.
Thinking about the ongoing process of gentrification in king street and surrounding area he produced:

The book, published by Tramway, features over 40 drawings and monologues of people on the street trying to get money or sell you something, whether it be Big Issue vendors, beggars, hookers, junkies, or somebody selling you a watch.
ON THE STREET was launched at Intermedia's closing party on 15th December 2005. The night was extremely busy and all comers went away with a free book or two..
